House Lawmakers Vote Down Bill To Extend Legislative Session

(Bismarck, ND)  --  House lawmakers are voting against another bill that would have extended the legislative session.  Those opposing the new bill that would have brought lawmakers back every year say the logistics for the budget review sessions would be a challenge for a citizen legislature.  The bill passed the Senate after a tiebreaking vote cast by Lieutenant Governor Brent Sanford.  Governor Doug Burgum recently vetoed a similar bill.House Lawmakers Vote Down Bill To Extend Legislative Session
