Burgum Signs Juneteenth Holiday Bill

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Juneteenth is now a state holiday in North Dakota.  Governor Doug Burgum signed a bill into law yesterday that recognizes June 19th as Juneteenth.  Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.  Before the bill was signed, North Dakota was one of only three states that didn't legally recognize the holiday.
