Burgum Signs Final 2021 Session Bills

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Governor Doug Burgum is signing the final five bills submitted by the 2021 General Assembly.  Burgum signed the bills yesterday evening.  Just over 500 of the nearly 850 introduced during the session were signed by Burgum.  Burgum also vetoed two bills successfully that called for lawmakers to meet in December following an election and one that restricted youth transgender athletes from playing on certain teams.  Burgum's vetoes on a bill calling for a special session of the legislature when federal aid larger than 50-million is received and one that strips the governor's ability to issue statewide mask mandates were overridden.
