(Minot, ND) -- Minot Public Library is ending most late fees.
Officials say the only thing people will be charged for is items being checked out of the tool library.
Minot Library Director Janet Anderson says fines can seem like a punishment and turn people away from the library.
New items will be automatically renewed if possible.
