(Bismarck, ND) -- Drought loan programs are available for North Dakota livestock producers.
The Bank of North Dakota approved the loan programs yesterday and will make 150-million dollars available to help livestock producers cover expenses as drought conditions persist.
The Livestock Drought Loan Program covers ag-related costs related to the current drought.
Funds can be used to purchase feed, forage and seed costs, cover crops, silage, to pay for livestock-related transportation, and to obtain water.
