Power May Shift From Rural Areas To Cities Through Redistricting

(Bismarck, ND) -- Power may shift from rural areas to cities as part of North Dakota's redistricting process.

Lawmakers begin meeting next to redraw legislative districts using new census data. The data shows a population increase for major cities and oil country, which may drain power from rural areas.

Chairman Representative Bill Devlin expects to see three or four rural districts "disappear" after loss of residents.
