ND Drought Conditions Improving

(Bismarck, ND) -- Drought conditions in North Dakota are improving somewhat in the central and southeastern part of the state.

Rainfall over the last week downgraded drought conditions in those areas from exceptional and extreme. Nearly 90-percent of the state still faces severe and extreme drought. A small portion of Richland County in the southeast has the mildest drought rating at abnormally dry.

As for Fargo, we are still in a Phase III drought advisory, thought the city is expected to re-evaluate that status next week.
