(Bismarck, ND) -- A North Dakota carbon capture project is set to be the largest in the world.
Senator John Hoeven joined energy leaders in Beulah Thursday to announce the development of the biggest coal-based carbon capture project in the world at the Great Plains Synfuels Plant in Beulah.
The technology traps excess carbon from coal processing.
The Beulah plant is set to begin operations by next summer.
