(Bismarck, ND) -- State health officials say a North Dakota resident over the age of 60 died of West Nile Virus this week, marking the first death linked to the disease in 2021.
The news reportedly comes as authorities reported 19 cases of the virus spanning 13 counties on Thursday.
Ten of those cases reportedly prompted hospitalizations.
