Giraffe Calf Is Newest Resident Of Minot's Roosevelt Park Zoo

(Minot, ND)  --  It might sound like a tall tale, but the Roosevelt Park Zoo in Minot has a new, six-foot-tall baby in the family.  

Zoo officials announced yesterday that a healthy baby giraffe was born Wednesday to parents Kianga and Mashama.  The calf reportedly weighs in at 127 pounds.  If you want to checka out the newest kid on the block, the zoo is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both today and tomorrow.

 Zoo officials reportedly will announce the calf's name and gender on Monday.
