(Plymouth, MN) -- The nurses at Abbott Northwestern-WestHealth in Plymouth are officially on strike.
The Minnesota Nurses Association orchestrated a three-day boycott at the hospital in hopes of receving a new contract that "provides fair pay and benefits to nurses on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic."
According to reports, the strike comes after MNA and Allina Health, which operates the hospital, failed to reach an agreement following negotiations last Wednesday.
The strike began Sunday morning and is expected to end Wednesday at 5 p.m.
