UND Stops Aerospace School Flights as Investigation Begins

(Grand Forks, ND) -- The University of North Dakota is stopping flights in its Aerospace school after a student pilot died in a crash.

Officials say 19-year-old sophomore John Hauser crashed in a field southeast of Buxton Monday. The Federal Aviation Administration says an alert notice was issued after contact was lost with the plane a half hour before the crash.

Reports say investigators are continuing to look into what caused the incident.
