Minnesota National Guard Assisting with COVID-19 Testing

(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota National Guard is gearing up to join the fight against COVID-19.

Officials say MNG will be helping the state with a new community rapid testing program. According to reports, the state will launch six new testing sites where patients can receive their results within minutes.

In addition to helping with COVID-19 testing, MNG has also been placed on standby to help with long-term care facilities. However, Governor Walz has not yet given an official order for the latter.
