(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem is providing guidance to colleges about a controversial new abortion education law.

Stenehjem says the law passed last session that forbids colleges from teaching sex education curriculum featuring abortion is constitutional. The Attorney General says colleges should follow the law unless the court system makes a change.

Many academics say the law infringes on a school's ability to teach freely.
