(St. Paul, MN) -- State legislators are now accepting comments from the public regarding the regulation of nonferrous mining.
The Department of Natural Resources announced that it has dedicated a webpage for residents to submit public comments online on whether the state's regulation of mining would protect the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness from environmental damage.
The department is also taking comments by regular mail. DNR officials say the comment period ends on December 8th.
