(St. Paul, MN) -- The St. Paul Police Union is trying to fight the city imposed COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

The St. Paul Police Federation filed a civil lawsuit against the city on Thursday to block its vaccine mandate which is scheduled to begin next month. In the suit, the union claims city officials failed to meet and negotiate do discuss changing the policy. Additionally, they said they asked the city to allow testing and masking for unvaccinated officers but the request was denied.
