(Cass County, North Dakota)-- As drug abuse and drug related crimes are on the up in the region, Sheriff Jesse Jahner says there are a couple of things that can be done to keep these cases lower and much of it involves the public. He says that the public has the opportunity to text in a tip anonymously to the department if they know about or have seen suspicious drug activity. It is noted that the investigation is prolonged if the person who divulges the information chooses to remain anonymous because there is a requirement for the officers to follow up and find probable cause for a warrant, whereas if the tipster chooses to be named, it can sometimes help the process along faster.

He noted that the Cass County Sheriffs office as well as Fargo and West Fargo PD are working hard to crack down drug-related incidents and they appreciate the public's help in doing so.
