Trials Suspended In 3 Counties By COVID Surge

(Fargo, ND)  --  The surge of cases of COVID-19 from the omicron variant is causing some changes at courts in Cass, Steele and Traill counties.  East Central District presiding Judge John Irby has signed an order suspending trials in those three counties.  The court order extends through February 25th.  The judge says the prevalence of the omicron variant in Cass County is creating stress on the courts, the state attorney's office, the clerk's office and the jails.
