(Williston, ND) -- Work is underway near Williston on a massive data center for cryptocurrency mining.
FX Solutions president Rick Tabish says the Atlas Power Data Center is set to begin mining cryptocurrency this spring. Construction has started on the 77-acre site, with the facility expected to use as much electricity as a coal-fired power plant once it's up and running.
The one-point-nine-billion dollar computing facility will be built in several phases, with the first expected to come online by mid-April.
