Study: North Dakota 3rd worst state for singles in 2022

(Fargo, ND) -- When it comes to being single in the Peace Garden State, you may not be in luck.

Personal finance website WalletHub has released it's 2022 best and worst states for singles ahead of Valentine's Day, and North Dakota is near the bottom of the list.

The study, which takes into account 30 key metrics including share of single adults to online-dating opportunities to restaurants per capita, ranked North Dakota as the 3rd worst state for singles.

Here are some of the key rankings for the state in the study:

44th – % of Single Adults

50th – Gender Balance of Singles

35th – Online-Dating Opportunities

45th – Mobile-Dating Opportunities

24th – Median Annual Household Income (Adjusted for Cost of Living)

50th – Restaurants per Capita

33rd – Movie Theaters per Capita

26th – Crime Rate

39th – Percentage of Residents 12+ Who Are Fully Vaccinated

 

Minnesota on the other hand finished as the 12th best state for those looking for love this upcoming holiday.

The best overall state for singles, according to the personal finance website, is California. The worst? West Virginia.
