Update: Two arrested after deadly shooting outside Richfield school

(Richfield, MN) -- Two suspects are under arrest after a shooting outside a Richfield school that killed one student and injured another.

The shooting happened midday Tuesday on the sidewalk outside alternative school South Education Center. The victims were taken to the hospital, where 15-year-old Jahmari Rice was declared dead. The other student remains in critical condition. Police haven't identified the suspects.  

Governor Tim Walz thanked police and school officials Tuesday night for their response and said more needs to be done to prevent violence crime.

(Minneapolis, MN) -- WDAY Radio is following a reported school shooting in a suburb of the Twin Cities.

Multiple reports say that officers are on the scene of the South Eduction Center in Richfield, just south of the cities, where multiple victims were found shot.

Recent reports indicate that one of the victims is in critical condition, and that the believed suspects may have fled the scene in a tan-colored SUV.
