Lawmakers want audit of Minnesota Department of Education

(St. Paul, MN) -- Four Republican state senators are asking for an audit of the Minnesota Department of Education.  

The lawmakers want officials to look specifically at its oversight of St. Anthony nonprofit Needed Our Future. The department distributed federal funding to the nonprofit that is now under investigation for fraud.  

Feeding Our Future leader Aimee Bock denies any fraudulent activity. No arrests have been made since an a raid on the nonprofit's sites last month.
