(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Department of Transportation is implementing a new road safety program.

The 'Stay in Your Lane plan' is meant to enhance safety features on the roadway, including warning signs, median barriers, and rumble strips. The purpose is to help reduce lane departure crashes.

NDDOT says lane departure was the leading cause of deadly crashes in North Dakota in 2020, adding one of these crashes happened every three hours.
