(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota House is proposing legislation to help farmers recovering from last year's dry season.

The proposed bill would provide ten-million in relief funding for farmers hardest hit by last summer's drought. The funding would be in addition to money already approved by Governor Tim Walz last September.

The new funding would provide five-million in direct relief funds for farmers and five-million in assistance to the Rural Finance Authority's relief loan program.
