(St. Paul, MN) -- Teachers unions in the state's two biggest school districts moving forward with plans to strike.

Educators in both districts voted yes Thursday evening to authorize a strike. More than 98-percent of Education Support Profession members in Minneapolis also approved the strike authorization.

Minneapolis teachers have another mediation meeting Friday, while St. Paul teachers have two additional meetings set. State law requires each of the unions to give ten-day notice before initiating an actual strike.
