Drug investigation leads to two arrests in Backus

(Backus, MN) -- Officials within the Cass County Sheriff Department found and seized several pieces of drug paraphernalia in a Backus home.

Investigators within the Cass County Sheriff's Office conducted a search warrant of a Backus residence on February 16th, finding several items indicating the sale and use of controlled substances. Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch says 10 grams of methamphetamine and 21 dosage units of Clonazepam were discovered within the residence, along with ammunition and other drug paraphernalia. 

Two people were found inside the residence; 69-year-old Deb Maus and 32-year-old Jason Dailey. Both Maus and Dailey were arrested and have charges pending against them related to Controlled Substance Possession.
