(Bismarck, ND) -- Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer are pushing back against COVID-19 vaccination mandates for truckers.

The two introduced legislation Tuesday to halt the mandates. The bill named the Terminating Reckless and Unnecessary Checks Know to Erode Regular Shipping Act would exempt non-U.S. citizen commercial truck drivers from having to offer proof of vaccination when entering the country from Canada or Mexico.

Several Republican colleagues have signed on to sponsor the legislation.
