(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota's U.S. Senators are calling on the Biden administration to raise the amount of liquefied natural gas exports to European Allies.

Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer are among 27 Republican senators who sent a letter to the Department of Energy saying the exports would crate U.S. jobs and help lower domestic and global emissions. Hoeven says the increase would also be good for North Dakota's economy.

The letter was a response to tensions in Eastern Europe that have now escalated into a Russian invasion of Ukraine.
