(Le Sueur, MN) -- A Minnesota woman was killed on Friday after the home in Lexington Township exploded.
20-year-old Kailey Mach was identified by friends after she was found in the basement that had collapsed. Detectives say at 11:30pm, Mach was house-sitting and caring for two dogs on the property when the home collapsed and was set on fire.
The investigation by detectives say smoke rose from a giant hole in the ground where the home once resided. The Sheriff's office and the Minnesota's Fire Marshall's Office are working to determine the cause of the sudden explosion.
Mach was a student at Augsburg University in Minneapolis looking to enter the early education field. She was known by friends and family to be a loving and caring individual who saw good in everyone.
