(St. Paul, MN) -- Minnesota farmers and ranchers are deciding their next move as legislators work on a drought relief bill.

The Senate signed off on an eight-million-dollar drought relief package Wednesday, while the House approved more than ten-million in grants and loans for farmers Thursday. The House bill also includes more than 13-million for the Department of Natural Resources to replace trees killed by the drought.

Senator Torrey Westrom says a conference committee should Work to reconcile a measure that can be passed by the end of the month. Distribution of funds will still take time after passage of the bill and the signature of the governor.
