North Dakota GOP preparing for convention

(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota's Republican Party is preparing for its convention.

The convention will be held this weekend in Bismarck. Friday will include committee meetings followed by the Governor's Reception and Dinner. The convention will be called to order Saturday with an agenda that include endorsement of candidates.

The only contested nomination is between incumbent John Hoeven and State Representative Rick Becker for the U.S. Senate.

Governor Doug Burgum is also expected to speak at the event.
