Salvation Army set to kick off coat, winter outwear collection drive

(Fargo, ND) -- The Salvation Army's annual coat and winter outerwear collection drive is set to kick off.

In preparation for the fall and winter of 2022, The Salvation Army says it will be collecting gently used winter coats, hats, mittens and boots that no longer fit at all Hornbacher's locations beginning today (Saturday) and running through May 6.

Coats will be collected throughout the period, with the final pickup happening on May 6.

The Salvation Army says, in 2021, 3,250 coats and winter outerwear were able to be provided.
