Travel Industry conference sets sights on Grand Forks

(Grand Forks, ND) -- North Dakota's Travel Industry Conference, an annual conference that attracts more than 200 travel professionals, will be held at the Alerus Center beginning Monday, the Greater Grand Forks Convention and Visitors Bureau, Destination Marketing Association of North Dakota, and the North Dakota Department of Commerce's Tourism and Marketing Division announced recently.

Registration will begin Monday at 4 p.m., with an opening reception at the Ralph Engelstad Arena. Breakout sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday will cover a wide variety of potics. US Travel Association President Roger Dow and Sara Otte Coleman, Commerce Tourrism and Marketing Director, will provide travel updates at a Tuesday luncheon.

On Wednesday, the Governor's Awards for Travel and Tourism, presented by North Dakota Lieutenant Governor Brent Sanford and Destination Marketing Association of North Dakota President Julie Obrigewitsch, will be handed out, with Otte Coleman closing out the conference.
