(Cass County, MN) -- A 20-year-old Cass Lake man is dead following an ATV crash.
Leech Lake Tribal Police and Cass County Sheriff's deputies say the fatal crash happened on the Migizi Bike Trail on May 7th at 9:32 p.m. Sheriff Tom Burch says the driver lost control of the ATV when traveling around a curve in the trail, causing the vehicle to strike a tree. Initial investigations suggest speed was a factor in the crash. First responders found the driver with several serious injuries. He was moved to the Cass Lake Indian Health Services Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
