Ellison announces settlement with major opioid manufacturer

(St. Paul, MN) -- Attorney General Keith Ellison says Minnesota is part of a multi-state settlement reached with a major opioid manufacturer.

Ellison says he's reviewing the proposed settlement that will bring tens of millions to the state. Ellison has reached opioid settlements with six pharmaceutical companies and three distributors.

The Attorney general says funds from the settlement will go toward existing addiction treatment programs.
