(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Department of Health is working with colleges in the state to prepare for the possible spread of monkeypox.

Health officials say the virus hasn't impacted the college population yet, but they want to be ready as student return to crowded campuses.  Officials say they are working to ensure that the vaccine is available to campuses if needed.

Four cases of the virus have been reported in North Dakota so far.
