(Plaza, ND) -- One person is dead following a Friday morning vehicle crash in McLean County.

Troopers say it happened a little after 9 a.m. when a pickup truck failed to yield at a rural intersection south of Plaza and collided with a semi tractor-trailer.  The impact drove the semi into a ditch, causing it to overturn.  The semi driver died at the scene.  Two male passengers suffered unspecified injuries.  The pickup's driver, a 36-year-old woman from Ryder, was not injured in the crash.

The name of the deceased is being withheld until next of kin is notified. Troopers are still investigating the crash at this time.
