Beulah Police: Man arrested on burglary charges claimed he had "bought the house"

(Beulah, ND) -- A man is in custody after he allegedly broke into a Mercer County home last week.  

Police in Beulah say 58-year-old Zap resident Brian Wills was arrested Thursday after a woman told them she walked into her home and found the suspect and his dog going through her possessions.The suspect reportedly told officers he thought he had "bought the house."  Police say Wills was busted for burglary and possession of fentanyl.  

Wills remains in custody on a two thousand dollar bond.
