(Hennepin County, MN) -- Hennepin County Sheriff David Hutchinson's peace officer license is being suspended for 30 days.
The Minnesota Board of Police Officer Standards and Training imposed the punishment as a reaction to Hutchinson's drunk driving crash in a county vehicle last December in Alexandria.
Hutchinson agreed to the sanction, saying he should be held to a higher standard for his behavior. He has been out on medical leave since May.
The suspension will begin in late November.
