Retired Paramedic pulls driver from vehicle at Richland County crash

(Richland County, ND) -- A retired paramedic is credited with saving a man's life after pulling him from a burning vehicle.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says three people were hurt in a fiery two-vehicle crash Sunday in Richland County on Highway 13 and I-29.

The retired paramedic was passing by and stopped to pull the driver out, who was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The female passenger was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The female driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
