Body found in parking lot of Red River High School in Grand Forks

(Grand Forks, ND) -- A man was found dead in parking lot of Red River High School in Grand Forks Sunday morning.

The Grand Forks Police Department tells WDAY Radio that they received a call for a deceased person in the southeast parking lot of the school around 9:36 a.m.

Shortly after officers arrived, they found the man unconscious and confirmed he had passed away.

The Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Police Department was called out to investigate as well as the UAS team. At this time Grand Forks PD says there does not appear to be any foul play or danger to the public.

The body was taken to UND forensics for an autopsy, and the incident remains under investigation.
