(Minneapolis, MN) -- Sanford and Fairview health systems are unveiling details about their proposed merger.
The details were released Monday though an interview with the Star Tribune and in a data release. Officials say the move would invest about 500-million dollars in strategic capital in facilities across Minnesota where Fairview currently operates.
The CEOs of the health systems say benefactor Denny Sanford is pledging to Sanford Health the primary beneficiary of his estate, with certain conditions.
One of the conditions is that the combined company locate its headquarters in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
