(St. Paul, MN) -- An administrative law judge says Xcel's proposed rate increase should be lower.
The utility filed in October 2021 for a three-year, 677-million-dollar rate hike. Xcel lowered that request to 498-million-dollars late last year.
Administrative Law Judge Christa Moseng ruled late last week that the request should be 384-million-dollars over three years.
The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission will decide on the rate case in June.
