(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota's Vision Zero sober ride program is sharing results of their St. Patrick's day Sober Ride initiative.

The report shared by Vision Zero says 131 sober rides were provided to Lyft riders across the state on the holiday, an increase from 72 rides in 2022, a 59 person increase.

“The public continues to see the importance of getting a sober ride when they celebrate holidays,” said Highway Safety Division Director Karin Mongeon. “North Dakotan's are taking personal responsibility when they choose ND Sober Ride and are decreasing the number of impaired drivers on our roadways.”

The rides were sponsored by AAA of North Dakota. You can learn more about the sober ride program by clicking here
