Cramer on Biden EV executive order: "they're trying to push a supply where a demand isn't ready"

(Fargo, ND) -- Senator Kevin Cramer is criticizing President Biden's executive order calling for half of all new vehicles sold in the U.S. by 2030 to be hybrid or electric.

"They're putting all this on the manufacturer. In other words, they're trying to push a supply where demand isn't ready, not even close to ready, particularly in the timelines and the degree to which they're proposing," said Cramer.

Cramer also says the U.S. is not able to provide sufficient rare earth elements needed to produce EV batteries.

Cramer made the comments while appearing on "Last Call" on CNBC.
