(Minneapolis, MN) -- The U.S Department of Justice is expected to reveal the results of a years-long investigation into the Minneapolis Police Department today.

The investigation was launched after the death of George Floyd at the hands of former Officer Derek Chauvin in 2020. Investigators are looking at whether the department engaged in any unconstitutional practices related to its policies, handling of misconduct allegations, and use of force.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and others from the Justice Department are holding a press conference in Minneapolis at 10 this morning.
