(Lakota, ND) — A Lakota, North Dakota man is facing criminal charges for trying to kidnap his ex-girlfriend’s child.
The incident happened at a park in Lakota last Friday during the community’s turkey BBQ, when Ky Schneider chased the child at a park. The child was able to escape and hide from Schneider, and police were called to the scene. Authorities say when they attempted to arrest Schneider, he became combative and injured one of the officers.
Schneider is in custody on charges of kidnapping, terrorizing, and preventing an arrest.
