Lawsuits pile up against actions taken by DFL-controlled Minnesota Legislature

(St. Paul, MN)  --  A number of Democratic Minnesota legislators are accused of overstepping their constitutional authority when it comes to lawmaking.

A national trade group representing generic drug manufacturers sued the state this week over a new law designed to reduce prescription drug price hikes.

A pair of new election laws are also being challenged, including one that restores voting rights to felons.

DFL lawmakers and the state attorney general are confident that the new laws will prevail in court.
