(Fargo, ND) -- Unhealthy levels of Canadian wildfire smoke is passing over North Dakota and some areas of Minnesota and South Dakota.

The several hundred-mile band of smoke stretches from Northwest North Dakota, dips south of Bismarck, and hovers over Fargo and some portions of Western Minnesota, covering impacted areas in unhealthy levels of surface smoke. People in Fargo, Valley City, Jamestown, Bismarck, and several western North Dakota cities should expect to to see and smell the smoke. However, other places like Devils Lake and Grand Forks currently are seeing minor trace amounts.
