(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota Congressman Kelly Armstrong was accused by one radio listener of being "in hiding" as the country moves closer to a possible government shutdown.
"I've been in D.C. for 12 days straight trying to negotiate a path forward. I just don't spend all my time on Twitter and Facebook and I'm not going to do that. This job is much more important, I'd rather be in the room when we are negotiating," said Armstrong.
Armstrong says he and other members of congress are considering a continuing resolution as part of their efforts aimed at keeping the government in operation.
The deadline to fund the government is this Saturday.
Without a new spending plan, a shutdown would take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday October 1st.
